Jaden's First Snow

While in Oregon, it began to snow so we ran out to enjoy it before it could melt.

This was Jaden's first snow.

Playing with Grandpa

On our last trip to Oregon Jaden was more mobile and on this occasion he was playing peek-a-boo with Grandpa through a plastic doughnut.

Running in the rain

One day Jaden and I went out side to play in the rain and Jaden just loved it.

He ran back and forth between the covered area to the rain and had such a good time.

Pumpkin Patch

About 2 weeks ago we went to Jaden's first pumpkin patch with our friends and Jaden's Buddy Ian. We went on a hay ride and pet animals and picked out a pumpkin. Best of all we just got some great pictures!

First Haircut

Jaden has had his first official haircut.

His hair had gotten so long on top that it was always getting in his eyes.

As you can see not much was taken off, but it counts. Yes, the timy curl in Mommy's hand is all that was cut off

Jaden Talks!

Jaden has been saying Mama and Dada for quite some time but then his first real word besides that: "Hot"! He first said this when Mommy was at the stove and lifted the lid to a kettle. The steam rose and Jaden said, "Hot". He has since then added a few more expressions to his vocabulary: "Mmmmm-Yum", "Uh-oh", and, "Oh!". Again I tried to upload some video of "Hot" but, that didn't work either. Sorry.

Jaden Walks!

Jaden took his first two steps 2 days before his first birthday! Then slowly he made progress to more steps. Now he is practically a fulltime walker! He still prefers Mommy's hand to hold while outside. Sorry everyone; I tried to put some video of these awsome moments but no can do.

Nevertheless, this is a great achievement!

Austin Childrens Museum

Today we went to the Austin Childrens Museum. We had a great time! They have all kinds of things for kids to explore and Mondays are the best because the only let the little ones in, in the morning.

Jaden's Actual Birthday!

August 26th! He's one year old!

Jaden's Birthday Party

We celebrated Jaden's Birthday on Saturday, August 25th. One day early, but we all had a great time! Jaden, dressed as a cowboy for the party, enjoyed his first taste of cake. I made it low in sugar but the frosting? Not quite! It was loaded with sugar. As you can see he liked it.

FIRST STEPS!!!!!

Its official! Jaden has taken his first two steps!

As we played out in the yard, Jaden came to climb up my legs as he often does. I stepped back and he just stood there for a few seconds and then took two sturdy steps before sitting back down!!!!!!!!

Bubble time!

Our friend Amy blew bubbles for Jaden which he loved. Guess what he got for his birthday! Bubbles!

Playing with Otis is so fun

Our two dogs (Channey and Otis) are usually so excited when they come out of the kennel that they can't really play with Jaden. But this particular day they were calm and Jaden is getting bigger so it's time to play. Jaden tosses the ball (2 inches) for Otis who is so happy to fetch it even if it is only 2 inches.

More Milestones

Jaden has been climbing the stairs since about June but yesterday he learned to climb DOWN the stairs all by himself! This is BIG but then today, Jaden STOOD!!!! All by himself for about 5 seconds! Of course I didn't get a picture but I think that before too long he will stand long enough for me to snap a shot!

Time with Daddy is so precious

Jaden stays at home with me every day and I love it! the time is so amazing and sweet. We are so lucky to be able to do that! But Jaden's time with daddy is so precious. Jaden just misses Wade while he's at work and when the garage door opens Jaden looks around. He knows daddy is home!

Jaden Waves

Yes, I know this doesn't seen like a big accomplishment, but waving is a mile stone and it is so cute. He does it all the time now.

Real Texan

Jaden, so cute in Daddy's hat. Don't you think he should be a model?

His Reflection

Jaden often likes to look at himself in the mirror, as do most babies. I'm pretty sure he knows it's himself. He used to look so confused when I would hold him up to a mirror; looking back and forth from me to my reflection but now he just smiles. I wonder what he thinks when he sees his reflection.

Buddies

Wade and I bumped into a couple from our lamazze class about 3 months ago. Now we are friends. Thier son is about 3 weeks older than Jaden. He is Jaden's very first buddy. We go on lots of play dates as well as our time spent at a Mom2Mom group (through church). It is so cute to see how a young friendship starts. They have started to recognise eachother and just have a blast! It's also fun to see the changes as our two babies grow up.

And then there were three

Wade and I were married February 15, 2003, after a 3 month engagement.
Our adventures together have been fun so far.
We try to follow where the Lord leads and our hope is that Our son will do the same.
August 26th, 2006 Jaden was born. It changed our lives and we would never have it any other way.
