Jaden has had his first official haircut.
His hair had gotten so long on top that it was always getting in his eyes.
As you can see not much was taken off, but it counts. Yes, the timy curl in Mommy's hand is all that was cut off

Jaden Talks!
Jaden has been saying Mama and Dada for quite some time but then his first real word besides that: "Hot"! He first said this when Mommy was at the stove and lifted the lid to a kettle. The steam rose and Jaden said, "Hot". He has since then added a few more expressions to his vocabulary: "Mmmmm-Yum", "Uh-oh", and, "Oh!". Again I tried to upload some video of "Hot" but, that didn't work either. Sorry.
Jaden Walks!
Jaden took his first two steps 2 days before his first birthday! Then slowly he made progress to more steps. Now he is practically a fulltime walker! He still prefers Mommy's hand to hold while outside. Sorry everyone; I tried to put some video of these awsome moments but no can do.
Nevertheless, this is a great achievement!

Austin Childrens Museum
Today we went to the Austin Childrens Museum. We had a great time! They have all kinds of things for kids to explore and Mondays are the best because the only let the little ones in, in the morning.
Jaden's Birthday Party
We celebrated Jaden's Birthday on Saturday, August 25th. One day early, but we all had a great time! Jaden, dressed as a cowboy for the party, enjoyed his first taste of cake. I made it low in sugar but the frosting? Not quite! It was loaded with sugar. As you can see he liked it.
FIRST STEPS!!!!!
Its official! Jaden has taken his first two steps!
As we played out in the yard, Jaden came to climb up my legs as he often does. I stepped back and he just stood there for a few seconds and then took two sturdy steps before sitting back down!!!!!!!!
