Egg hunt

Ok, so, we know what Easter is really about but here are a few pics of the egg hunt.

Wedding Coming Up!

My Sister, Loucynda, is getting married soon and so we are getting all ready for her big day. She just ordered Jaden his tuxedo so we had to try it on. I think we're going to need to do some altering. It seems a bit too big, but Jaden looks so cute anyway.

"Bug?"

Today, Jaden and I were in the back yard pulling weeds. Jaden came up to me as he was saying, "Bug?, Bug?" I turned to look and he had a great big June Beetle in his hand. I feel bad now because I instinctively swatted it out and later thought, he would have been just fine. I hope I didn't make him afraid of bugs. After inspecting the beetle I decided it would be best to show Jaden it is ok to touch it and so I touched and even picked up the beetle (briefly). He still wasn't interested. Oops, maybe next time I'll be more open to his curiosity.

Dance, Jaden, Dance

Lately Jaden has been dancing on cue. It sort of looks more like he's running like crazy in place, but it is so cute and he loves it when we join him.

"Up High?"

Yesterday, Jaden and Mommy were reading a book about Trucks and Diggers.
While going through the book I was pointing different ones out and quizzing him on which was which.
I was excited when he got them right so I held out my hand and said,"yeah! Good job, give me five".
Jaden proceeded to slap five down and then said, "Up high?".

"Color?"

Jaden has learned he likes to color both inside and outside.
This day Mommy had more fun with the outside colors (chalk) than Jaden did but he is getting the hang of it. Yesterday he colored on the couches...Oops! Good thing they're washable; they came right out.

"Away"

Jaden enjoys putting things "away".
This particular day he was putting rocks "away" through he knot hole in the fence.

Bubble Season!

Ok, so it was only February, but we already got some days with temps in the 90's. Definitely time to bring out the bubbles!
We got Jaden a bubble gun that can potentially send out a steady stream of bubbles. He loves it of course and every day asks, "Bubble?".

The favored watering can

Jaden loves to help water the plants because this means he gets to play in the water.
Afterward he helped himself to some water from the watering can.
Any chance he gets, Jaden is playing in the water.

Story time!

Jaden and his buddy Ian sit in an antique chair at Book People in Austin.
We were there for story time.
For those of you who don't know, they read cute stories and sing fun songs with finger play.
This particular day was perfect to be inside because it started out cold and by the time story and singing was done, it was warm so we went to the park for a picnic.
