Today, Jaden and I were in the back yard pulling weeds. Jaden came up to me as he was saying, "Bug?, Bug?" I turned to look and he had a great big June Beetle in his hand. I feel bad now because I instinctively swatted it out and later thought, he would have been just fine. I hope I didn't make him afraid of bugs. After inspecting the beetle I decided it would be best to show Jaden it is ok to touch it and so I touched and even picked up the beetle (briefly). He still wasn't interested. Oops, maybe next time I'll be more open to his curiosity.
